Hey guys, I'm going to build a new gaming PC and I need some help with the build and compatibility of it. I will use a 4GB Sapphire Dual X R9 270X. My budget is around 150 GBP.
Being at an awkward price range, my options are limited.
I can get a Haswell i3 (approx. 90 GBP) w/ a Gigabyte B85-HD3 mobo or some Asus H81 mobo.
I can get an FX 6300 (approx. 70 GBP) w/ a Gigabyte 970A-UD3P, ASRock 990FX Extreme 3, or an Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0.
Finally, I can get an FX 8320(approx. 105 GBP) w/ a ASRock 980DE3/U3S3, Asus M5A78L, Gigabyte SKT-AM3+ 78LMT-S2P, or a MSI 970A-G43 AMD 970.
The thing is, I've heard that 8 core AMD CPUs don't work well with cheap mobos, so under that basis, should I go for an FX6300 w/ a decent modo, an i3, with a cheap mobo or an FX 8320 with a cheap mobo?
The games I will be playing are going to be CPU intensive(BF4, GTA V, Crysis 3...)
