Won't boot past bios after new ram

I tried installing a 4GB kingston ram on my desktop. It kept restarting after bios. Old ram works perfectly, I could boot into windows with it.
Motherboard : GA-H55M-S2
RAM:KVR16N11S8/4 - Kingston

Believe so, these are their newer single rank DRAM (higher density chips) (identified by the 1R, and with your mobo chipset you'd want the 2R, dual rank

So I did some research and had a conclusion that my motherboard does not support the "high density " Rams such as my new one. Am I right?

Thanks . How bout other ram manufacturers? Are they all the same as Kingston ? Or are the ram they make compatible for all boards? Is there anyway to identify the one I should get?
