Ok, been having quite a few issues with getting this board to function correctly, and run well. on my previous board. The ASRock 970 Extreme4, I was maintaining higher FPS in games on max detail (not fully maxed in Crysis 3 but near to it) and games like BF4. It seem to get a stutter in my games every so often like 20-25 seconds with the new board somehow. Its a quick FPS spike. I did notice while playing BF4, the CPU temp in AMD OD was reading a thermal margin of like 25 degrees, so its not even running to hot. Is the processor potentially not using all of its power or something?

The board before also was apparently only supporting 6 of the 8 cores.

Do I have to change anything in the Digi Power in the BIOS? Also in Crysis 3 on my previous board I was getting 55-60fps lowest, and now I am getting down into the 30s... what gives. I know my video card can handle it.

Any suggestions?

Just swapped my RAM sticks to slots 2 and 4 as that is what it reccomends them to be in. Crysis 3 was still reaching down into the high 30s in fps and was averaging near 40-60fps. Before it seemed to be nearly 15-20 fps higher with everything maxed. VSync off, MSAA 4x, Antistropic Filtering @ 4x. This seemed to address the stuttering issue tho. Going to try BF4.

I did lower the settings in Crysis from Ultra to High, and left the AA and A Filtering the same. lowest it was getting was in the mid 40s.... and was sitting near 50-65 average.

However, after playing Crysis 3 for 25 minutes, my CPU thermal margin temperature was 25 celcius. Is my processor not fully working or something?

Well I think I figured out what was causing the sudden FPS drop. I believe it was Origin overlay. Disabled this and ran everything maxed out in BF4 and the lowest FPS in an entire game was 57 FPS. The stupid overlay was making the games stutter. Sorry about all the questions!
