Hey!

Im looking to buy a PS4, so Im wondering if its possible to have the audio from your PC and console in the same headset? My headset is a Sennheiser pc 360 and I have a Soundblaster Z soundcard. The reason that I want this is so that I can use skype while playing on my PS4.

You want the same sound card on both?

If you have a sound card on the computer(guess this Z since it is a PCI-e card, not usb), you may be able to connect the PS4 audio out to the line in on the computer(analog 3.5mm TRS) and this use the headset on the computer. The mic would work on the computer only and not the PS4 in this configuration.

The end result here would be having the sound from the computer and the PS4 on the same headphones. Now you may need to adjust the volume and input levels to avoid distortion or other issues, but it is a cheap easy fix.

EDIT.

It looks like PS4 may have ditched analog audio. this would mean requiring an digital to analog converter of some kind. Some HDMI TV's have a headphone jack build in. That...
