I got a headset with one cable, but I have two jacks, the microphone won't work.

that the only model built for the pc as it uses a control box. the other units on there web page are made for the xbox or other gaming systems.
did your unit come with the control box that has a usb cable connected to it???

I think mine is a Xbox/PS type headset, all that is on it is a Volume/Mute button and one connecter, it says it is for PC, but it requires a "composite jack", which I have no idea about, thank you for going to the trouble of going to the website.
