hey guys, I've just encountered a problem.

I was playing COD AW and my pc rebooted.. so I let it load up again and once again it rebooted. this happened over and over again. it didn't reboot at a certain point, it was just random.

so I tried to use the repair setting on load up to fix it, but sure enough it rebooted constantly.

now I decided to reinstall windows. surprisingly I managed to wipe my hard drive, but again, the system rebooted and I got a blue screen saying

'Recovery, your pc needs to be repaired.
a required device isn't connected or can't be accessed
Error code: 0xc000000f'

then the system will reboot and bring me back to this blue screen.

I've tried to reinstall it using my installation disc but by the time I put my product key in, it reboots again. I've tried this for over 4 hours now but nothing seems to work.

I've opened my pc up and cleaned it and made sure everhthing is connected properly, but I'm pretty sure there's nothing else for me to check (that I do not know of).

does anyone have any idea on why this is happening? or what I can do to fix it? or perhaps what piece of hardware is the problem and whether or not it needs to be replaced.

thanks!

everything is on default, I've never OC'd

I just switched the Sata cables over into the 2 spare ports and im currently installing windows with no reboot. I'll see how this goes and I'll come back to you.

if this is the problem, what part is faulty? the sata ports or the cables?

I get a message come up asking if I was to boot windows 8 or another operating system. I choose windows 8 and I get an error saying 'the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. windows installation cannot proceed. to install windows click OK to restart the computer, then restart the installation.

then it'll reboot and do the same thing over and over

well I installed this motherboard about 3 months ago. I have a feeling the harddrive is on its way out. it was quite a cheap hdd and has lasted about a year... I think I'll order a new hdd.

thanks for your help jenojaxx

Hi Jenojaxx

I took everything apart and cleaned it. I took the PSU apart and it was quite dusty. Now the pc is working fine. Could this have been the problem? Do you recommend buying a new psu? mine in 500W and not the best quality.

The psu should be enough for a 125W cpu + under 100w gpu + 50w other .... but how old it is ?
