I get random crashes almost every day randomly. The crash looks like this - the whole screen freezes and turns jittery and distorted then it turns black, i hear 3 long beeps, then the next one is cut off as the PC restarts itself. Other times it does not restart and the screen just stays black or distorted - no beeping. After it happens once or twice, it works perfectly for the rest of the day (used to at least, now it seems to crash all the time). I used to get BSODs too, but they are now gone since I updated the graphics drivers.
My specs:
OS: Win7 64bit
Mobo: ga-m52lt-d3 (have had it since forever)
6GB DDR3 RAM
Phenom II x4 965BE at stock clocks with cooler master TX3
Sapphire HD 7850 1GB @ stock clocks (the fan is making rattling noises. I have the computer slightly tilted and the noises are mostly inaudible. I've read it's an issue many people experience.)
Cooler Master Thunder 500W PSU (bought it a month ago)
An old Samsung 1TB hard drive
Temps are perfectly normal, the room temperature is quite low. I'm not a tech person and not sure what could be the culprit but I suspect the motherboard or the hard drive. Any help or tips would be appreciated.
