So recently I have been having some trouble with my computer. The drivers would shut down a lot and eventually I found out that one of my CPU fans was broken. After replacing that, everything worked fine for a few days, but now my computer will sometimes turn on and the monitor will stay black. I already made sure that the monitor and the HDMI cable are fully working so I am thinking that it is something else. Right now it is working fine, but this is after about 10 attempts of restarting my computer. Sometimes it will not even make it to the windows starting screen, but other times it lasts for a few minutes. If someone could point me in the right direction for getting this fixed that would be great.

Are you Using On-board Video, or a GFX Card?

1) Re-seat your GFX Card
2) Try Alternative Cable type connection to Monitor
3) Try an Alternative Monitor (to see if issue persists)
4) What length is your HMDI Cable? (try another cable)

There are a few reasons why the screen would not even turn on or just shut off randomly
Not turning on = no on signal
Turning off = no signal / out of range signal / loss of signal
- Cable issue
- Monitor Issue
- GFX Issues

When the Monitor Turns off does it go into sleep mode or loose all power with no lights on?
Does power cycling the monitor show any msg like - no signal, out of range, entering sleep?
