Hello community.

First of all this is my current system:
Mobo: ASrock 990fx Extreme3
Cpu: AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE
Ram: G.Skill DDR3 2x4GB 1600 CL9 RipjawsX
Gpu: Sapphire Radeon HD7950 3072mb Vapor-x
PSU: Corsair CX Series 500W ATX, 80 Plus Bronze Certified
SDD: Crucial m4 SSD 128GB
HDD: some old seagate 7200 512gb not really essential

So I've decided that it's time for an upgrade. And I was ready to buy FX-8350 but then I started thinking. First of all, there are happening "Display driver stopped responding" all system crashes which I managed to somehow stabilize with many trials, with among these pushing voltage on gpu and removing completely cpu overclock.

This made me think that my PSU might be a ticking bomb and it would not hurt to change it for something more stable with more wattage for possible further upgrades in the future. (Like XFX Black Edition 850W Full Modular or even 1000W)

Furthermore, since someone pointed out that the mobo I have has a 4+1 phase and its not advised to oc FX 8 core on it, i guess IF I were to oc cpu, I should replace the motherboard too, and if I were to overclock both cpu and gpu, then I'd need more wattage, pretty domino effect.

And another thing is, although I always were amd fan, seeing how intel dominates cpu market, I thought that maybe if I should replace both motherboard and cpu, I might swap to intel camp (which, honestly, I know nothing of).

Budget is 300-400$ and these are relevant prices here in Poland.
FX-8350 ~195$
XFX BE 850W ~185$

Thank you very much for help!

Yup, an XFX or Seasonic 850/820W power supply should definitely be enough.
