I found the Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP for around £50 ($80) and it matches the Devil's Canyon i7-4790K I want to buy. It has PLENTY of USB3 and even Optical audio, VGA, DVI and HDMI (I always use HDMI). Is there a catch I am not seeing or is this a good motherboard for the i7? Is there a better motherboard that you would recommend in the £50-60 ($80) price range?

It only supports haswell refresh on an F6 Bios, if you do not have an F6 bios out of the box (quite likely) then you'll need a non refresh haswell to make it work so that you can update the bios. Z97 solves this problem with out of the box support.

Cross fire only, no SLI (may not be an issue to you)

Not sure how the power phases work on haswell, but it's likely to be less able to deliver high levels of power for the higher OC's for a 'nice' OC you'll be fine.

Although oddly Amazon had some that scan didn't when I was looking for Z97 ITX, but it's search function is too poor to allow me to link.
