Hey guys, so Black Friday/ Cyber Monday is coming up and I'm looking to upgrade my system. Below is what I'm currently running but I want to upgrade my system performance. I mostly play CS: Go, League of Legends, Battlefied 4 and Diablo 3. Sometimes I have issues using up all my RAM and my FPS for CS: Go isn't amazing. Can you guys suggest upgrading any of my parts and also tell me why I'm having these RAM, FPS issues?

Running dual monitors if that matters
CPU - i5 3570k
Mobo - ASRock Extreme 4
GPU - SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7950 3GB
RAM - Corsair XMS3 2x4GB
HDD - Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 6GB/S
SSD - Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5in SATA3

Solution
Get the cheapest 970 made by MSI, EVGA, Gigabyte, or ASUS. Or if the deal is good enough get one from Zotac. The EVGA one is currently the best deal:http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp42972kr

XMS3 RAM is mosly used in LGA 2011 systems as far as I know, however its fully compatible with your system. What power supply you got? Adding another HD 7950 will give you a great performance buff.

I have XFX 550W PRO550W Core Edition. Do you suggest upgrading my GPU because I was thinking of switching over to NVidia.

Also Kaliz, I didn't know that sorry I'm not the best when it comes to system knowledge. Would it help if I got more RAM? Or different kind?

The XFX PRO 550W is a very decent PSU, no problems with that :) And your RAM, 2x4GB is plenty. You can upgrade to 2x8GB or 4x4GB up to 2800MHz(OC), getting a dual channel kit 2x8GB 2133 CL9 would be a great choice.

If you are into crossfiring the HD7950 you need another PSU of at least 750W, of a good brand like XFX, Seasonic, Antec.

Do you suggest either going 2x8GB or 4x4GB and what brands or if possible a link to a one you recommend?

I haven't done much research into crossfiring but I'm pretty open to buying a better GPU and selling my HD7950, any recommendation for that?

I sometimes get the error where I'm using too much memory and I need to close some programs. Like if I have League of Legends up and I have Google Chrome with 10 tabs I'll get the error. I'm not sure why I'm getting that issue since you guys are saying there's no point in getting more memory, I'm pretty new to my own system so all your help is appreciated!

You would notice far better performance by crossfiring. But you would also need to rewire your entire computer because you would need a higher wattage PSU. If you were to get a new GPU it would have to be a 970. This wouldnt require a new PSU. The cheapest ones are going for $329 right now.

Sell the HD 7950, and get a SINGLE GPU, like the GTX 970. You dont have to change your PSU that way.
2x8GB 2133 CL9, it doesnt matter what brand you pick, you look at CasLatency and Frequency. Get the highest frequency(MHz) with the lowest Cas.
Also , your current RAM is sufficient for normal computing, you wont get a instant performance boost with adding ram, since you already have 8GB.

Getting another HD7950 + a new 750W PSU costs about the same as a GTX 970.

So, sell the HD, and get a new high end GTX 900 series GPU for the best performance boost :)

Okay I'll probably go ahead and sell the HD 7950 and get the GTX 970. There'll be no issues once I switch over from AMD to NVidia no? Just install the new graphics card and uninstall the old one correct?

Also do you know why I get the memory error since I do have 2x4 GB for RAM? WIll that error go away once I upgrade to 2x8GB? Lastly the new RAM should be compatible with my MoBo correct? Thanks guys!

Yeah you're right, it'll probably be easier to just upgrade to GTX 970. Do you suggest a specific one?
