Alright before I start I don't see why a new computer would slow down my internet but there's nothing else that could cause it. Alright so I just got a new much better computer and my download speed while downloading a steam game used to be 1.4 MB/s. I've hooked up my new computer and it's so much slower only going a max of 412 kb/s. I'm getting really frustrated at this point. Any help appreciated. The average is around 200 kb/s.

on the new pc if it a dell or hp it may be some of there bloatware running in the background. try booting into safe mode with network support if the system speeds up it may be a program or bloatware. if it a parts built pc that you order parts from..look at the motherboard and the ethernet chipset. if it uses a intel chipset (asus mb) it a known issue do to intel network safty software that intstalled. go into add/remove programs and remove intel extra software then do a custom install of the newest network driver only. if your mb using another chipset make sure your running the newest driver.
