I am planning to build a pc and my wireless router is next to the room that I am going to place my pc in to play. How good is the range for gaming too

Yuppers, that should work out just fine.
4 eggs with 900 reviews, it should be all right as long as you're not expecting the world from it. It's only wireless b/g which is very old tech, but that also means they've got it down by now, so no worries. Just about all routers within the last few years are b/g compatible. Anyhow, go ahead, no worries. Range won't be great, but not bad either.

I use a Rosewill N900 in my computer at my little brothers house to play online, and really, there isn't much added lag compared to a wired connection unless you have a bad signal. If the signal is strong, my ping on D3 is usually less than 40ms. I have an Asus router that is N600. It's one room away and I get 5 bars consistently. On speedtest.net my ping is under 20ms.

Wireless AC to get the adapter and the router is kinda expensive to start out, if you're picking an 11$ wireless adapter, you're not transferring 1200 Mb/s to another computer, which is the only real world reason to have that kinda speed, remember, you can stream movies off a NAS unit with a 100Mb/s connection, which is easily handled by older "N" technology. If you only have a 20Mb/s internet connection, and one or two computers "G" is fine.Everyone wants the AC2400, but really, when would you use that kinda speed? That's faster than a mechanical disc can transfer. Now if you've got 5 people streaming everything on all their devices, Ya, but then again, you're not looking at a 11$ adapter then.

I use dual band here, all of them are TP-Link USB adapters (connected to the modem at 5 ghz), along with a Xbox which also uses a dual band adapter

The modem/router is also dual band with GB ports. Didnt really need AC. As you say its expensive. This is good enough for me, and it works fine

The PC's (3 of them). One's near the router the other 2 arent that far from it. There's a wall between the router and the PC's in the bedroom

All 3 get online fine, so does the Xbox. And if I want to extend the ethernet. I'll just connect a GB switch to it.

Used to have an ASUS but it wasnt dual band. So in the end decided to change everything to dual band

You don't have to build it by 11/10, you have to order that specific part by 11/10.
