Is promo code for free game with gtx 970 emailed or sent in package?

I am about to order a gtx 970 and was wondering if the free game that is included from NVIDIA's promo is emailed to me or if it comes bundled with the package so I know where to check when I get it.

Should be emailed. Newegg, for example, will create an order for the code and you should see it under your account activity.
