Also I had a scare earlier. I was playing GRID 2 and I accidentally pressed the start button on the keyboard. The system locked up and froze. When I went to restart the computer, the monitor did not pick up a signal from the GPU. It did however for the onboard video. I unplug the main power cable and waited a min before reconnecting it to turn it on. It work now, but is there something wrong with my GPU?

Solution
Ok, see what happens and report back. see if you can log into safe mode using the video card. if not then maybe is damage.

Ok it just happened again. I was using Itunes and the screen went blank. I restarted the PC and the monitor did not detect a signal. I switch the dvi cable to the onboard port and it worked. I ran CPUID again and it didn't detect the card. I also went to the BIOs and it did not detect it. I unplug the power plug directly from the card and replug it in. I restarted the pc and the onboard can not be detected. I plugged it back into the GPU and now it works. Man I'm freaking out now.

seems like your card is defective. try installing the newest drivers and test. Also, if you got a spare video card try using that one and make a few test to see if the problem persist. but I believe you will need a new video card!

It's my first build so I don't have any spare parts. All I got are cables. Anyway, I really hoping I don't have to RMA it as this only started happening today. But I'll keep a eye on it the next couple of days.
