I plan on buying an i7 4790k which states supports up to DDR3-1333/1600. I am going to also get the ASUS Z97-A which supports a lot higher RAM. I chose Corsair Vengeance Pro 2133 MHZ DDR3 16GB Kit. Would the CPU take full advantage, or just up to 1600? Not quite sure how that works in that area, help! ^.^ (please excuse me if it is a duplicate, i couldnt find one related. Link to the page i suppose if someone can find one)

cpu is rated for ram speed. intels mmu (memory management unit) on the i5/i7 handles upto 1600mhz/1866mhz natively depending on model.

faster than 1866 ram will increase system bandwidth which in some cases (not gaming) can have a beneficial effect but most of the time it will be of little benefit.

That can't be true. I don't think the CPU is related to RAM speeds unless we're talking about DDR4 (and I'm not sure the CPU is concerned with RAM speeds there either). As far as DDR3 is concerned, its just the motherboard. If your motherboard supports that RAM speed, it should be fine.
