Yeah I'm a noob but, have been looking at this site for a long time.
Am I wasting my time and should pitch the whole thing and follow some other build?

I plan on starting to pick up a few parts and some x-mas presents for my first build around x-mas. Some bf4, minecraft and decent gaming in general.

I may add a second video card later for 2nd monitor and/or crossfire. is the power supply big enough?

Cooling suggestions? I would like to be middle of the road on noise. Noise/cost/rpm..I don't know what I need if I add the second video card. Or should I upgrade with the video card upgrade.

OS which one?

Should I get the full tower or save money and get a mid?

Any thing I have wrong I am willing to change.
Any cost savings without a loss of quality I will change.
Any parts that are junk I would like to know.
I don't plan to overclock yet.

I am trying to get the big money items as nice as possible.
I was hoping to keep it closer to $800 but, I think better parts will not need upgrades as soon as cheaper parts. So It looks like about a grand.

Hello :)
-Your build is nice !
-For the PSU you can go with a quality 750Watt but i wouldn' recommend you that because if you OC.. You should go for a 850watt PSU it will be enough.
-GPU Cooler you can wait if you don't overclock your first graphic card. You can OC it anyway without a GPU fan cooler.
-CPU Cooler EVO 212 if you OC or not it wil help for cooling the CPU. AMD CPU are hot. If you want a good Liqid cooling you can take a H100i. I would go for EVO 212 in your case.
-OS.. Windows 8.1.
-MID Tower is fine.. You can take a Zalman Z11 for a MID Tower. But with a HAF 932 damn.. I dream about it every day ! This case is sick in my opinion !

You can go for this instead, which packs more punch. I wouldn't take a Zalman case, I have one and I regret my decision.

Solution
Zalman cases feel like crap in person. They look cool through pictures but man do they look and feel cheap in person. Tom has a perfect build and I would highly recommend it. If you do not have a micro center near you, you should get the i5-4460

The card he chose is currently the cheapest 290 right now if you dont include mail in rebates.

Meh.. I don't like it. Maybe it's the small gpu room, maybe it's the look. (Only reason I got it was the multiple USBs in the front... I had no idea there were USBs in the back. Don't laugh. ;-; < That was a while ago.......... )

How is this for adding a second video card later? Everything still okay?
I like the Cooler Master HAF 932 case. Change anything?

Really, I can go up from $800 but, if I aim low it will go up on its own.

Any problems?
Now if I want to add a second video card later what will I need to change? Should I use a bigger power supply?

Thanks for the link.
I was hoping for some more comments. I will decide the power supply last. I hate buying things twice. I am trying tho make a build I can upgrade later as I get some cash. It will be better than what I have but, not even close to my dream build.
Thanks for the help.
