My i7 950 is getting old and I am thinking of upgrading. It still offers decent performance but my motherboard is on its way out (faulty memory slots, NIC failed) so its looking like upgrade time.
My computer is mainly used for gaming, I was wondering what I should buy, i7 5820K or i7 4790K?
Money is not a problem but I don't like wasting it, what would be the performance difference between the 2? Would there be a benefit in going for the 5820K?
Im torn between the higher clock speed of the 4790 & the extra cores of the 5820K
Any advice guys?
