So when i try to start up my pc bios detects my hard drive but windows 7 installation doesn't. My hard drive is brand new but this problem was persisting with my old hard drive.

So apparently the fix to this is installing SATA controller drivers, but everyone i've tried the installation cant find any drivers there. So how is the proper way this is meant to be done, and if anyone can find the right SATA drivers for an intel DH55HC motherboard can you please link it and please how to install it through a usb. I've tried the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=20821&lang=eng&ProdId=3142 chipset but can't get it working.

Please be clear and thorough, any help is appreciated please help!

is h55 chipset mb. the newest intel chipset inf will have the drivers. in the bios check that the sata port set to achi mode and not raid. if windows does not see the drive in achi mode try ide mode.

another trick is to make a new windows 7 iso disk with a slipstream program and install the mb drivers and service packs.

then use the windows iso to usb program and a usb stick to make a new bootable usb stick.
Windows 7 Setup supports SATA natively so you shouldn't need to install a SATA driver. You'd have to be very unlucky indeed for Windows 7 Setup not to recognise your particular SATA controller. Two things to try:

1) Set BIOS to defaults.

2) Try plugging the drive into a different SATA port. Avoid using any which are on a separate controller card/RAID card (at least until after Windows has been installed).
