and am not going to overcloack anything
2. And is the intel core i7 made for overcloacking and shit or nah?
3. is it a waste to get an i7 and 16 gb ram ? am gonna be using them for some animations or intros and hardcore gaming
4. do i need coolers or not? some people said coolers are only for overcloacking

Update : is it better to get two 970 graphic cards or just one 980?

Worth it in what way? It's a very capable build, but whether it's "worth it" depends on what you want it for.

As far as the parts go, I'd be tempted to make a couple changes: I'd probably go for a better and higher wattage PSU - Maybe something like a decent seasonic or corsair 600W PSU, as you really don't want to cheap out on the PSU in an expensive build - it's the only part which can take out the whole PC if it breaks.

I'd also be tempted to put in 1600/1866MHZ RAM, while performance boost won't be huge they're almost the same price an in a high end build 1333MHZ is unusual.

Finally, you could look into an SSD to hold OS and programs, with HDD for files. I would really recommend this, as I lovee the fact my PC boots in about 10seconds.

hope this helps.

Whther it's worth still depends on what you're aiming to do. If your just gaming, then you can drop to 8GB RAM and an i5 without loosing any performance. Also are you planning to overclock? if not, you can drop to a non-k series chip. Here's my best shot at a $1300 build. It has 16GB of RAM incase you plan on video editing or something, a k-series i5 for overclocking - games just as well as the i7. gtx 970 performs about as well as a 780ti (maybe like 5% worse, but it overclocks higher & is cheaper). Added an SSD for speedy boots.
