I recently did a fresh install of windows 7. For some reason my pc calls networks as network 1 and network 2. I also cannot choose between the more than one networks that are usually available to me. Now, I am at college and before I did this fresh install, I had access to I think maybe 2 different networks, I'll call them college 1 and college 2, and they were not called "network 1" and "network 2" before this fresh install. Along with college 1 & 2, I had the options to log on to password guarded networks as well, just to give you guys more of an idea of what's going on here. It doesn't even give me a choice to choose college 1 or college 2, I'm either automatically connected to network 1 or network 2. It just seems weird that I don't have (complete?) access to the networks i had access to before this. Does anyone know whats going on here and how to fix it? It's obviously not a huge issue but it's still kinda annoying. I am using a desktop and etheret cabls by the way.

I don't fully understand your question, but this might help. You can rename networks shown in the Network and Sharing Center by clicking on the network icon. That will let you give them a identifiable name. You can also merge or delete networks from a link in the name change box.
