Hey Everyone!

I am having a big problem concerning my graphic card ( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150705 ) i bought it about 4 months ago and i started having problems with it about three weeks ago and it has been getting worse and worse.

The first thing is, About every time i use my PC for 10 minutes up to 2 hours, and i mean literally every time, either the screen simply goes black My monitor shows NO INPUT and there is a very annoying and loud buzzing sound through the connected speakers and then i have to press the Reset button on my PC to get it to open again.

Or the second thing is my monitor randomly starts showing this type of display ( http://i.stack.imgur.com/Op2se.jpg ) and then i also have to restart my computer since i can't see anything on the screen anymore.

I have tried contacting XFX Support be e-mail and all they say is its either my RAM ( Which it is not since i have tried with other RAM and the issue still persisted) OR my monitor (Which it isn't either since i connected my pc via HDMI to my TV and still did the same thing)

I would very much appreciate any kind of help as i am a little desperate to know what is happening.

This is my PC:
Case: ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BL Black
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3(1600)
PSU: Corsair CX600M
Motherboard :GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P AM3+
CPU: AMD FX-8350
Cooler: Corsair H100i
GPU: XFX Black Edition Double D R9-280A 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5
HDD: 3X WD Black (1TB each)
SSD: Kingstone HyperX 3K 120gb SSD

Lower it by about 20mhz, if this doesn't stop the issues, lower it to 1250, if this still doesn't fix it then you'll have to return or RMA your card :/

Hi,
the monitor seemed to be a good one, thus if you have tried different connections with similar problems appearing, may I suggest getting a replacement card. Something may be overheating in the card, and that is why the problems showed up now.
Good luck.

You can make an RMA ticket ont he XFX support website. However try contacting the place of purchase first. I'm not sure if you need the box, but you will need to make it extra safe when you RMA it as you're responsible if it damaged during transit.. How did the underclocking go?

You may aswell leave it underclocked as most RMA's take months and you have to pay for shipping to a different country 80% of the time..

Nah most likely not but you could get a new one and try. It's better just to leave the RAM underclocked though as you're probabaly only loosing like 0.2 fps

so i decided to send my GPU through RMA since i wanted to make sure the card was the whole problem. Turns out the GPU is ''flawless''. As i am a little discouraged here, i need to know; if the RAM, the PSU and the GPU are not causing the problem, what else ? the motherboard? CPU? I still dont understand how this issue wasn't happening with a diffrent GPU.

It could be the PSU then. The CX series isn't great as they use cheap components and can only deliver 90% of their rated power... I doubt it is though as you're only pulling around 450-500w max
