I'm upgrading my GPU to the r9 280 and need to upgrade the psu with it.
Specs

Model: Acer Aspire M3970
Processor: Intel i7-2600 3.4 ghz
RAM: 8GB at 1330 mhz
GPU: R9 280
HDD: 1TB
Power supply: was the ps 6301 08A
Motherboard: intel DH67 BL

Websites say that the recommended psu for the r9 280 is 500W and some people say that I should go higher to 600 Watts. Which power supplies are reliable and cheap, and what wattage should I go for? Which one is compatible with my motherboard? Please recommend some good reliable models for the cheapest price possible.

Also, I don't think I have too much space inside my case, so if you can recommend a compact psu, that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Try a Antec HCG 620M, it is a Tier 2 Class A PSU.

Or the best PSU ain my opinion currently on the market is the EVGA G2 IMO. Try EVGA G2 750W, more than enough for future upgrades.
