Several questions about new build

I am trying to put together a new pc mainly for gaming. The types of games I play cover most types, rpg's, strategy, MMO's, first person shooters and anything else that sounds fun.

Here is the build so far http://

Several questions though

1. Can it be built cheaper with better results, or better cost benefit than I have now.
2. Do I have the right parts for what I need? Different CPU? Different GPU?
3. Over clocking vs cooling. I have very little experience with over clocking, and no experince with liquid cooling. Do I need it? How much can I OC before I need to use water cooling?
4. Do I have the best case? I would like something that looks cool, and has lots of room for expansion and easy access.
5. Did I pick a good monitor? I have never really shopped them before, but if I am going to spend all of this money on a machine, I should have something that provides great visuals to go with it.
6. Last question, did I pick a decent keyboard/mouse? Normally I but what ever is on sale at best buy, but once again if I am spending good money on this system i might as well go all the way.

Thank you

When you say stock cooler, does that suggest water cooling? Would more fans work? Am i better off getting a lesser CPU?

I dont need 3TB, I know the 1 TB filled up faster than I thought it would. I will take any suggestions on storage?

I am re-designing your pc as we speak I am adding an aftermarket cpu cooler a smaller harddrive I might add a 2TB and do you need a 256GB ssd

I have added in a motherboard with OC genie which is what I used gto learn about overclocking and all you do is press a button
if you want to know more I will explain it to you.

Thanks for the help. I like the idea of a built in OC feature, makes my life easier. I didnt realize I would need all of those fans, I thought the case would come with plenty of them. Would that create a lot of noise? What about the case is it a decent pick?

Is the SSD only real advantage in starting up the operating system? If that's the case I don't need anything larger.

Any suggestions on the monitor and peripherals?

Thanks again

you said you wanted to play mmo games etc. and the razer naga hex is designed for that I also added in a gaming keyboard with mechanical switches the monitor is really good and as for the SSD I have a 128GB SSD and I have 50GB left for other apps.
the I also went with an MSI GTX 980 because the motherboard is meant to be able to auto overclock that aswell,.
I added in a lot more fans because you want to make sure everything stays as cool as possible as the case came with 2 low noise fans and they don't seem very good at keeping thing cool.
I like the case but you want a case that has the features that you want not what other people want so if you like the look of it keep it but if you want something else get something else.

if you think the fans are to loud I can find some quitter ones.

Well, if you have the time, I would take any advice you have. Is the current build over kill? I know nothing is future proof, but with the current setup I can add a second GPU?

If it was your $2k, what would you do? I don't have any particular love for anything. I just kinda went with what was popular on parts picker reviews.

it is overkill but not overkill the system now is a high end system but in the next 1 to 5 years it will perform worse but its best to spend abit more now and not have to upgrade much for the next few years

otherwise something like that will last a good 2 years with next gen games
