Can you run a computer using a laptop screen as a monitor?

Can it be done? Yes. Would it be easy or affordable, probably not so much. A laptop screen is connected by a ribbon cable, you'd have to know which wires of the ribbon do what and where they would sync up to as far as the output of your computer. Unless you have a laptop that has a VGA INPUT. I don't know of any off hand, but that doesn't mean they aren't out there. Some video cards have an input as a passthrough I think. But not many, and you'd know it if you had one, you couldn't accidentally buy something like that without getting it for that specific purpose.

Then could someone advice me a cheap 100 dollar screen which I'll be able to play 1920x1080 games with.
