Motherboard voltage too high?

Hi, I have a Intel DH55HC mobo and was recently trying to troubleshoot something and downloaded 'Intel Desktop Utilities' which reports various voltages on my mobo. There's a 1.5 volt item that keeps hovering around and over the default threshold that's set of 1.585 (goes up to a max of around 1.59) and as a result I keep getting warnings from this software.

My question is, how bad is this & could it be damaging anything? Can I do anything about it? Thanks!

If it is your memory voltage, there's not much to worry about. The default V for memory is 1.5V. Some memory requires 1.6V and some 1.65V and can be adjusted uo or down and even higher for over clocking memory. What is the memory voltage set at in BIOS? It is not unusual for memory 1.6V to fluctuate down like that lower or higher than the 1.6V.

Good to hear! I checked my memory voltage and the mobo is set to automatically set it at 1.6 (it says default is 1.5, but proposed is 1.6). So, am I correct in assuming that's why the '+1.5 Volts' item is showing closer to 1.6?

I do get the occasional BSOD - once a week or so, but I have a feeling that it may not be related, since it usually seems to occur when watching YouTube in Chrome. I'll check that MEMTEST out later, thanks.

The mem voltage is probably set at 1.6V like you said and will fluctuate at times. You could go into BIOS and adjust it up some more, like to 1.62V or 1.63V if your BIOS has the option and see if that makes a difference with the BSOD problem. Even up to 1.65V. Check the mem timings too.
