reboot and select boot device

Need some help/advice for my computer that suddenly turn into blue screen and reset by its own.. And then when its resetting there is a message "rebot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" every time i turn it off and turn it on it always stuck on that.. Any kind of help/advice is appreciated thank you.

Im on the bios right now sir . . what is BSOD ? Sorry sir im new in this kind of problem :)

its genrally like this
Bios>boot >boot priority

Make your hard drive first (mostly '+' will be used to move it up)

bit of a repost eh?

any way try inserting your windows or OS CD and run an error check

And what where you doing before you got the crash?

Were you updating software or did you get a virus or something like that

Before the crash im just playing some games and when i'm in the middle of the climax of the game it turns to blue screen > autoreset then >stuck in the screen whrere you can see this message "rebot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" thats what happen in my pc and when i turn it off and on again it always stuck on that screen..

What recovery tool should i choose sir ? Startup repair,system restore,system image recovery, windows memorydiagnostic, or command prompt ?

Its not working sir.. Message error said: "To use System Restore, you must specify which windows installation to restore..hmmm

personally i would reimstall my OS and deal with the prob. and the data will be saved in a folder called windows.old.

But if you dont want to do that i suggest you wait for a reply


PS- i have never used the CD that comes with prebuilt systems,So i dont know much about their content

an dmostly you best bet would be using system restore.

Genrally this is the procedure - go to system restore and select an option (date) to which your system will be restored(this works for any settings change inly and does not remove programs)

OR you could go into the win 7 setup AND THEN choose the repair option inside

If i reinstall my OS i can asure that i can recover my personal file sir ?
