Hello Community!,

I have been having an issue recently where my PC will restart when playing high end games, such as, Assassins Creed Black Flag, Far Cry 3 and Hitman Absolution.

I don't understand why this keeps happening but I hope with your help I will be able to resolve this matter.

My PC specs are:
Intel Core i7-4790k @4.0ghz (Default Clock)
Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H Intel LGA1150 Z97 ATX Motherboard
Gigabyte GTX660 OC 2GB GPU DDR5
12GB RAM @1333mhz DDR3
1TB HDD and 500GB HDD
Powercool Modular 750W 80+ Single12V Rail V2.2 High Efficiency PSU
64Bit Operating System on Windows 8.1

Thank You in advance!

PSU seems to be working properly, it is a brand new PSU and it works with all other games which are not so CPU and GPU intensive , do you think that it could be the GPU overheating?

The CPU is using a stock fan but is not overclocked, it should in theory be fine with the stock fan.

It idles at 29C and reaches 55C but I was unable to record the temp when it restarted during gameplay.

Recently i found that my PSU (Powercool) was on the Replaced Immediately list on this forum as it is mostly usless, so I'm replacing the Powercool PSU with a EVGA SuperNOVA 750W which was recommended to me an is in the Tier 1 section of the list.

I will post back here if it makes a difference
