Hello people.

I'm planning to add more RAM to my PC (it's old model, still using DDR2) for light gaming purpose. The thing is, can I do the thread title? The brands are different (Kingston + V-Gen).

I've been googling stuff about this like using CPU-Z to make sure they are running at the same frequency and voltage, but I'm not really sure since there are different responses, like one guy said it can't, another said it can, while another guy said it can but with some issues. What issues are them, I don't know since they only said "problems".

What should I expect?
Will it run good?
What are things that I should pay attention to?

My mobo is 45CMX/45GMX/45CMX-K (Socket 775) if that info's needed.

In the past I've mixed loads of different RAMS in the past (sticking to the right ddr), different brands and clock speeds, and most of the time is works, sometimes you get unlucky and 2 brands will clash and refuse to boot. Also, the higher freq RAM will run at the lowest freq in the board (to my knowledge) so it is doable yes, but there are drawbacks, but nothing you should notice too much.
