If you want to fry it sure use it. It needs 7.5 v for a reason. Find a suitable replacement and dont fry such a nice dj console

Hi

If you want to burn out your equipment OK go ahead

I expect range of 7V to 8V is OK

Note power supply specification includes:- Volts, Amps, AC or DC ( polarity ) and type of connecter ,
[ripple (AC component on DC Voltage usually ignored)]
and regulated or un-regulated power supply

which should all match what is required

( a unregulated power supply puts out a higher voltage at low loads and lower voltage at higher loads so is rarely a good idea)

thank you both for your answers. @mbarnes86, all that it says on the back of the controller is 7.5V 1A so i see no other info. any advice?

Hi

Is the old psu missing or dead?

Look at user guide for dj console for information
Often there is a symbol by the input connection showing polarity

Get polarity wrong can destroy the equipment even if correct voltage
