So last night i re installed windows 7 using the previous disk that installed it the first time. I done all the necessary windows updates that where needed and they all went fine. But my download speed is so slow. If i use speed test i get 18Mb down and 6 up which is normal but when i try download software like Skype or steam etc it starts off at like 1.1Mb download and then goes to 0 and that's it. It just stops. I've tried re installing chrome and that didn't help so im pretty much stuck right now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Device manager > "your NIC here"> update driver. Check what dns settings you are running, and try testing speed on other devices.
