X99 motherboard (msi) + E5 1620 v3 + GTX 770 (msi) + 8GB ddr4 Ram
H97 motherboard (asus) + E3 1241 v3 + GTX 970/780 (PNY/zotac) + 16GB ddr3 ram

wich one? for AutoCAD & Gaming.

Solution

Be patient please. The X99 will have more upgrade options, I suggest getting the X99, with the E5 1620 V3, the GTX 970 and 16 GB of RAM.

HOWEVER, the H97 will be able to utilize the new up coming 5th generation intel cores, but I feel like when working with CAD the X99 is the better choice.

970 is more expensive than 770. I have force to get the x99 with 770 or h97 with 970.
the qustion is : better mobo+medium grafik or medium mobo+good grafik.

For cpu & ram:
E3 1241 + 16 gb ddr3 for h97
E5 1620 + 8 gb ddr4 for x99
(almost rhe same performance and price)

For stuff like CAD you will need more RAM. I suggest the X99, with the 1241 and 16GB and the 770. You can always upgrade down the line.

I do not know if you have anything else like a PSU, Case, etc. I threw in some RAM and a HDD just to be on the safe side.

I seem to have had a change of heart, this will suit you just fine. Do you want a X99 build? Here

Same scenario. Mobo, CPU, you need a cooler for this one, RAM and a HDD.

I'm running the Xeon e5 1620v3 With a 770 and 16GB OF DDR4. So far this has blown my Socket 1150 rig out of the water.

Even if you don't need more than 8GB of RAM still do 16 (4x 4GB) with DDR4 on socket 2011-3, this fills out the extra two memory channels allowed by the 2011-3 socket.

Additionally you get 40 PCI-E lanes and almost 3 times the memory bandwidth with the E5 1620 v3 (70GB/Sec) compared to the E3 1241 v3 which only has 16 PCI-E lanes and 25GB/sec. The extra lanes are helpful for later expansion.
