Using Two Different Sets of Ram On Same PC

Hey Everyone!

I have bought every piece of my system (which you can see here) and I had a quick question. I was salvaging a hard drive out of a small computer that I bought about a year ago. I saw that the PC had 6GB of ram (one 4gb stick and one 2gb stick) it's from kingston and here is the only info i could find on it here. The other ram I bought is Crucial Ballstix Sport. They run at the same frequency but the CAS latency is different and I'm not sure what voltage the kingston sticks run at. My question is: would I be able to run the kingston ram along with the ram i bought until I can get more ram? Also if I was able to run it, would it be an actual upgrade or would the cas differences be detrimental? Thank you for all your help!

Solution
Try and see if they will play together at basic boot, if so let me know the model numbers of the sticks (can use CPU-Z - free utility - look in the SPD tab at part number), the CPU and mobo and we can see if we can get them to the best optimal settings
