Newly built pc wont show a display or make beeps

hey, i just built a new pc and just tried to boot it up for the first time, so once i power it on everything looks fine(the fans turn on and the standby led) but theres no display on my monitor and no beeping noises. Ive tried many things already and nothing has worked. The onky reason why i can think this is happening is because i took out my old graphics card from my old pc and placed it in this one

check the cpu for bent pins as your system is showing the associated symptoms.

That's the thing, we don't know if his CPU even has pins... we need to know the exact list of parts.

This should honestly solve any problems you have, unless you have a faulty part.

I cant remember what cpu i had (got it last year, bearly got around to actually finish) but its amd if that helps at all

Well it has to be AMD to work on the mobo. One reason is the BIOS on the mobo doesnt support that CPU whatever it is without a BIOS update

If the right BIOS isnt on it now its not going to do anything

Is your display cable plugged into the graphics card, not the motherboard?

No it maybe compatible BUT if you can tell us what it is, it may need a BIOS update for the mobo / the BIOS thats on it to support it

AMD FX -8350 4 GHz 8-core -

Well according to the site BIOS 1006 has to be on that mobo so it'll support that CPU

FX-8350(FD8350FRW8KHK,4.0GHz,8C,125W,rev.C0,AM3+) ALL 1006

And if BIOS 1006 (or higher) isnt on it now it wont do anything

If this is what the prob is, the only thing you can do is either take it into a shop and ask them to flash it with a CPU that it supports. Then put this one back in

Or you'll have to buy a CPU it supports then do it

With one of the CPUs here that need BIOS 0208

Check the label on your motherboard to see what your BIOS is to see if it's 1006 or higher. The original BIOS version is on a thin sticker on the motherboard. The last separated 4 digits stand for the board's BIOS version.

My label was found on the side of a PCI lane, might be different for you.
