Last night I was playing Endless Legend for 6 hours, and when I got home from work earlier today, I tried to resume where I left off, and my game freezes within 10 minutes. I went on the Steam forum and saw people were having trouble with the game crashing/freezing. So I decided to try playing other games on Steam and Orgin. Needless to say, I experienced the same dilemma I was facing in Endless Legend. I tried playing BF4, Warframe, Total War: Shogun 2, The Witcher 2, Far Cry 3, Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag, and Civilization Beyond Earth, all with the same results.
System specs:

Asus Maximus 7
EVGA 770 2GB in SLI
EVGA 1200W PSU
Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD
Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600
To counteract the problem I monitored my GPU and CPU temps near the freeze. GPU reached 57C and CPU reached 58C. Also I wiped the drivers for the mobo and gpu, and installed fresh, new drivers. Reinstalled both Steam and Orgin, as well as some of my games. Ran Malwarebytes, Microsoft Security Essentials, and CCleaner. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions are welcomed.
Will check back here tomorrow afternoon as I am about to hit the sack.
