I am new to installing hardware. My old harddrive crashed and I bought a 500G Samsung SSD to replace it. I got the bracket kit and installed it and now when i go to install windows from my backup disk, it shows no hard drive available to install to. Is there a driver or something I need to get the computer to recognize the SSD? If so, how do you install a driver without a OS in place for a new hard drive?

No it does not show up in bios. Under Hard drive it just says "Hard Disk" When I go to install WIndows from the recovery CD I get to the screen where it says "Where do you want to Install Windows?" THere are no Hard Drives Listed but there is a spot to "load Driver." I assumed there would be a driver of some sort I could load to make the PC recognize the hard drive.

I can't access disk management as the old HD is shot and won't boot at all.
