Which gaming mouse is the best for my grip

Basically my grip is primary fingertip, but the upper part of my palm (almost half of the palm) is touching the mouse, so it's rather hard for me to figure out which gaming mouse is the best for my grip.

The mouse I'm using is Razer Deathadder 2013, I don't really like it since after about 1-2 hours of using it, it makes my hand feels rather crampy & also some discomfort.

I will consider Logitech G502 Proteus Core, G402 Hyperion Fury, Corsair Vengeance M65, CM Storm Spawnm & Steelseries Sensei / Kana / Kinzu

I'm wondering which brand & which model would be best for this grip, please give me some suggestion. Thanks :)

If you find your way to a Best Buy, you can usually put your hands on a Proteus Core. Been really tempted to buy one for FPS games, since my Razer Naga is non-ideal for them.

Honestly, I'd suggest probably the Proteus Core or the Vengeance M65,. I've never put my hands on a CM Storm or Steelseries mouse to suggest if those would be comfortable to hold with that kind of group.

I'm living in Malaysia, so only Amazon is available for me to do international purchases

My friend has a Razer Naga 2014, it is pretty good but sometimes the keybad is pretty annoying when you're resting your thumb

How would you compare the G502 with G402?

I'm considering Vengeance M65 too, what grip are you ? and what mouse are you using currently?

I use the Naga Epic right now, and while I enjoy it, it makes FPS shooters a bit of a pain because I tend to squeeze my thumb occasionally to hold the mouse still, and it causes me to switch weapons.

I actually have a fairly similar grip to yours. My fingers lay pretty flat on the mouse i.e. palm grip, but only the upper half of my palm touches the mouse usually. The bottom half usually wrests either on my mousepad's rest or on the desk.

The G402 felt a little smaller than the G502 in my opinion. I liked the G502 because there's no button right where your thumb rests/grips and the little lip for the thumb was wider and more comfortable.

I wonder what's the difference between the model? it looks identical to me

& what's the difference between the RAT and MMO ones? I do play quite a lot of MMO & MOBA, but I do play almost every genre but slightly less compared to those two genre that I stated above

Oh so we have similar grip :), that's nice to hear

I usually play MOBA & MMO, sometimes other types of genre but not that much, I don't play FPS that much though, since you're suggesting that G502 might be better for FPS

I'm not really sure should I get a smaller one which is the G402 or the bigger one which is the G502, I don't really mind if there's button like the deathadder 2013, my hands are around 18 cm so which mouse would you recommend ?

The problem is that most of the shops they don't allow you to open the box & to test the mouse with the plastic is not really that good

What do you mean by sensor tracks?

Ooi -

I don't mean to say the 502 is better for FPSes and the 402 isn't. I meant in comparison to my Naga, either of those would be better simply because they don't have buttons all over the side like my Naga 2014 does. When I grip my mouse while playing FPSes, I tend to accidentally mash the Naga side buttons when I get surprised. Just saying that seems less a risk with the 502/402 :p Both mice are great for MMOs, FPS, and MOBA type games. I would use this site:

http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/gaming-mice#

And hit the Compare under the 402 and 502 to see what main features differentiate the two. The G502 has more programmable buttons, so may do better for you in MMO and MOBA scenarios.

Well I just tried Mad Catz 5 in a shop just now, it feels okay to me, but the online review on the sensitivity & stuff & also the rating isn't as good, what do you think of Mad Catz Rat 7?

I still can't really decide between G402 & G502, to me programmable keys are not that important as I don't really use them, I would prefer comfort after long hours of usage & I also heard that this two mouse is quite heavy when compared to deathadder, so I wonder if I will like it

I've never been a fan of the Mad Catz mice. They feel like they have too much going on, I'm not a fan comfort wise but that's just me. I know other people who love them.

The Razer deathadder is about 105 grams (not sure if that includes cable). The G402 is 108 grams, so not noticeably heavier. The G502 is 121 grams, and has additional weights, weight of the mouse is purely preference.

Hope this helps.

I really prioritize comfort, so I'm not really sure
yea quite true, I'm not really sure if I like a heavier mouse or a lighter one
