Hey guys,
I got my new rig yesterday and I have problems with my hdd.
Bios and disk management can see both my ssd and hdd. When trying to allocate unallocated space disk management is not responding. Does it mean that i received defective hdd or is there any other possible problem?
Edit: It seems that bios/disk management cant see my hdd anymore. Tried changing sata ports and sata cables.

Hey, Grazvas!

This is a guide from one of Tom's mods that's pretty detailed in explaining how to install a new HDD on your new rig:
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/265764-32-guide-installed-disk-system

Since your Disk management is not responding there is another way to initialize the HDD using cmd (Command prompt).
The commands you need to use are:
> diskpart
> list disk (this will show you all the disks connected to the machine)
> select disk # (where # is the number of the disk you want to modify)
> create partition primary (will create a partition)
> list partition (lists the partitions on the currently selected disk)
> select partition # (where # is the number of the partition you want...

> format fs=ntfs quick (turns the RAW partition into an NTFS partition)

Hope this helps you! :)

Doesnt help;( After i write "create partition primary" diskpart gets stuck for a long time. If i close it, diskpart cant see hdd anymore. Its almost the same like disk management. And i can see that hhd again only after shutting down my pc.

I think your HDD might be defective. Can you test it on another computer and try to initialize it there?
If it acts the same way, you are definitely dealing with a faulty drive.
You should contact the tech support of the HDD manufacturer and RMA the hard drive to get a replacement.

Good luck! :)

Diskpart crashed 2 times in a row after trying to partition that hdd. I had to reboot system after crashes because it would not respond after that. I forgot to mention, when i was installing windows i tried to partition ssd and hdd. Ssd was partitioned with an easy but when i tried to partition hdd, windows installer crashed and i had to start installing windows from the start.

Since the SSD is working properly and the HDD is not so responsive even after swapping SATA cables and ports, it can't be the mobo.
I think you did a pretty good job with the troubleshooting as well, so I wouldn't you lack the knowledge either! :)

Best of luck, Grazvas!
Hope we were able to help you!
