I own a Gigabyte 970A-DS3P motherboard which has an onboard gbE LAN, it worked great and I used to get 8 MB/s to 10 MB/s while downloading torrents but suddenly due to lightning strike it broke down, I am looking forward to buy "D-Link DGE-528T Network Interface Card", and my actual question is "Will I get good download speeds (8 mbps - 10mbps) while downloading torrents ?"

Thank You,

If your built-in GbE LAN is busted as you said, anything would be better than it is now.

Plain old PCI is a little slow for 1GbE speeds so you might want to consider a PCIE adapter instead if you can find reasonably priced ones from the usual suspects. The chips on bog-standard add-in PCIE LAN cards, if you can find reasonably priced ones, are usually the same that end up integrated in motherboards.
