So I just recently updated my Motherboard and processor and RAM. Got everything connected, in place and the device boots up into the BIOS just fine, but everytime it gets to the windows color splash it crashes to a B.S.O.D. I've checked the RAM 4 times already and it has not shown any errors. Replaced the video card to an older card I have and even tried to boot from an older HDD and still get the same results. When it does bluescreen it reboots itself too fast for me to see an error code and the system repair never finds anything it can fix. I'm pretty much out of ideas at this point.

The motherboard and chipset I installed are:
ASUS - A78M-A motherboard with the AMD A series (black edition) processor.

You need to reinstall windows for the new hardware to work properly. You may have to buy a new copy of windows as well, if your copy was an OEM copy. With an OEM copy of windows, windows will be bound to whatever motherboard it was installed on first. If you replace the board, you would have to get another copy of windows.

PS: Sometimes if you call ms support and tell them that the original board broke and had to be replaced, they will release your OEM key so it will work with another install.

Call the number here for your country, and try just talking to someone instead of going through the automated system: http://support2.microsoft.com/gp/customer-service-phone-numbers/en-gb

I gave them a call just to see what they would say; basically told me to buy a new version of windows 8 since my OEM version of 7 was outdated anyway. Gonna bite the bullet and try out a new OS since it seems impossible to keep this version of 7. Thanks again for your assistance.
