Hi

I didn't really find any straight forward tutorials from anywhere or maybe I'm just really bad at searching for it.

Anyway, I need to connect to a Intel NUC with just plugging one end of the ethernet cable in my laptop and the other end to the NUC. I've searched for different VNC solutions but have not found anything that I would be able to get to work.

Currently I'm using TeamViewer over wifi to connect to the NUC, but since the NUC is the brain of a robot and in the robotics competition there's gonna be a lot of wireless signals that disturb each other, I figured that it would be useful to use a direct ethernet cable connection.

The NUC is running Linux Mint 17 and laptop is running Windows 7.

I'm looking for a VNC solution rather than just a ssh tunnel.

Thanks in advance

Solution
X-Over cable and setup static ip's. They cost pennies.
