Just like in the title. Looking for a great suggestion that will make it perfect. No SLI yet. Additional GTX970 may come a bit later... but for now I think one is enough to run everything perfect. $2k max.

Solution
If you buy from EVGA then you can use the step up program

http://eu.evga.com/support/stepup/

this way the recently scene 9xx titan or something better like a ti verion comes out you could just pay the difference in price and better card. it has to happen in the first three months of ownership tho

Nice build, though I would personally save money and go with a 4790K/z97/DDR3 system; taking all the extra and buying a GTX 980 over the 970.

This, only if you find yourself gaming more than rendering/production work. A 4770/4790 will provide you better gaming results (per it's higher clock rates) and with HT is still a very solid "working" chip.

Definitely agree with getting the GTX 980 over the 970, dont really see how the 970 could be future proof because of the vram issues
