hello everyone! i just finished building my new gaming rig 3 days ago and the last couple of days i have been testing out different games and streaming online to see if it runs smoothly... The first time i ran the games it ran beautifully! Last night I was doing some reasearch on how to overclock my GTX 970 so i could get a few extra frames. I was using EVGA Precicion x 16 since it seemed easy to use. I did notice i was getting better frames as i turned up the settings. I know i turned up my settings too much a couple times because my screen went completely blank and i could still hear the music but no sound. I had to perform a hard reboot. I came back to precision and decided to go back to my defaults. Later i started playing DayZ and ArmA 3 and i noticed that now my game was stuttering. It never stuttered a couple days ago and it was running super smooth! I also noticed that it is taking much much longer to boot up windows. When I put my windows login password ill be stuck with the circle thing spinning for 1 minute... that is very odd because just yesterday it took literally 2 seconds! i really dont know what is going on. I dont know if i did some permanent damage to my hardware by attempting to overclock somewhat carelessly. Or if it is something i can fix. I also noticed that pages like youtube are taking longer to load. I would really appreciate any kind of help or support! I uninstalled precicion X 16, i reinstalled windows 8.1 and all nvidia software...
this is my setup. i know i shouldnt be getting this kind of bad performance especially seeing how well my computer was running before i attempted overclocking!
