Hello people,
Recently I started to use this site to get some knowledge about installing a new CPU and GPU and how to cool them properly. Normally I buy pre-build pc's but yesterday I installed a new CPU, I7-4970k, and a GPU, GTX 980 4gb MSI gaming. When I installed the new CPU, i used thermal paste and added a Cooler Master TX3 EVO as cooler. After installing I started to check my temps when idle and gaming. For my CPU that is around 34 when idle and a maximum of 73 when playing Shadow of Mordor at ultra settings. My GPU is 45 when idle and 68 when playing Shadow of Mordor at ultra settings. I was wondering if these temps are normal when using the Cooler Master Silencio 550 case, since it is known for not being the best case regarding to cooling. Should I be worried with these temps or are they acceptable (keeping the case I use in mind)? What could I do to get less temps if they are too high? (I do not want to buy a new case since I have 0 experience with building a competely new comp.) Thanks for the great information!
