So I work on the road and live in hotels for 3 weeks a month and I'd like a small, compact, powerful, gaming PC to take with me. Something that could possibly fit in a suitcase with my clothes would be ideal. I'd like to keep the total cost around $1000-1200 or less but I'm pretty flexible on the price. I saw the alienware alpha but I'm not too pleased with the fact that all the models ship with the same, nonupgradable gpu and I'd like something that could play all AAA games released for a while at 1080p and high graphics.

I have no experience in building PCs but I'm always open to learning new things but I'm also open to buying pre built machines.

I'm just looking for suggestion for the actual system. I'll get the monitor, mouse, keyboard, ect. on my own.

Any experience anyone could give me would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Solution
No you don't want a pre built, crap hardware, extremely cheap PSUs, and tons of bloatware loading down the operating system don't make them worth purchasing.

Try something like this:
