Hello there, few days ago I bought brand new GTX 770 for around 50 Euros. Now I'm planing to buy components and build a decent gaming rig, but my budget is quite low and limited. At the moment I'm running the GTX on a really old configuration:

CPU:AMD Athlon 64 x2 4000+
RAM:4GB DDR2 Dual-Channel 301Mhz
Motherboard:ASUStek M2N
Power Suply: Delux ATX-700W P4

I asked beffore buying the gtx and quite a lot of people told me that im going to be dissapointed from the bottlenecking. Which is true but way better from the previous graphic card. I bought the GTX 770 with a plan to make a new rig. All I want to know now is what is the best low budget motherboard for the GTX 770 and a new processor, I would like to get an Intel and my budget is around 150$ atm. And I would like to know If im going to be able to use the PSU I already have.

If you can afford an i5, do it. It certainly will handle better the GTX 770. 4690 is the 'top of the line' i5 right now, but if you find a good deal on a 4670 go for that.

I wouldn't suggest you to buy used part unless you know the person whom you buy it from. The reason is simple, there are absolutely no way you can actually know if the CPU is still in good shape unless you plug it and test it. So i'd avoid that.

I haven't heard of that PSU so I wouldn't advise using it. Since you are in Europe I may have just not heard of it and it's fine but I doubt it. It is probably a cheaply made, unreliable unit.

as for a CPU and motherboard the cheapest thing that I would grudgingly suggest is an AMD 6300 and cheap motherboard. I don't recommend it but its the only thing close to your budget. Something I can recommend is an Intel I5 with a decent motherboard but that will cost about twice your budget. You really should save up and get something worth getting. Whatever you get you will also need new ram and so thats another $65-75 dollars.

Hi,
I think the best budget oriented motherboard at the moment would be the AsRock H97 Anniversary edition for about 75 USD. (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-h97anniversary)
With that mobo, you could get a hyper threaded core i3 for about 110 USD. (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646i34150)

With that build, you wouldn't suffer from bottlenecking and wouldn't have to upgrade the psu.

correction: He wouldn't suffer badly from bottlenecking. There is still a bottleneck, a good sized one at that, but it wouldn't be crippling like it is with his currant setup. He would get much more consistent frame rates as well as higher overall if he went with an I5. I would say about a 15-20% increse in performance with an I5.

I do agree that that is probably his best option (a little better than 6300) with such a low budget but it is just too low to get anything decent.

Parts are kinda cheaper in Europe(atleast in my country) I don't mind using used parts too. About the motherboard, I think Im going to chose that one because few people already suggested it. When it comes to CPU, I want to know if I should get an I3 or save a bit for I5. I'm also going to sell my old parts atleast to aford RAM. Also please suggest some decent and cheap RAM memory.

Thanks in advance

i5 750 will not fit with the h97 board we talked about earlier because they do not have matching socket (mobo is LGA 1150 and CPU is LGA 1156). Go to http://pcpartpicker.com/ and try to build something from there. The compatibility filter is very usefull.
