Hello! Just asking in for some advice when it comes to a gaming pc Dr which my budget is around £350. I have two main options, but the first is right on budget and without an OS which is a big downfall, whereas the second comes with windows 8 but it's only 300quid so I was wondering if it is drastically worse hardware wise. Thanks!

1- Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3240 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Manufacturer Intel
Speed 3.4 GHz
Number of Cores 4
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GT 620
Manufacturer NVIDIA
Chipset GeForce GT 620
Dedicated Memory 1.0 GB
Total Memory 3.9 GB
Memory 6.2 GB
Operating System Microsoft (build 9600), 64-bit
Service Pack 0
Size 64 Bit
Edition

2- (sorry can't get it here so the link:

Option 1 currently belongs to a friend so I could try haggle the price down a bit and which the money left maybe upgrade it a bit but what do you think?

Or maybe I could build a better pc than these for the budget? Thanks!

In that case, the first might be a better financial decision. The i3 is a stronger CPU than the AMD APU in the 2nd build. You can always upgrade the gfx card as funds become available. Meanwhile, you can "get by" with the weak GT 620.

As long as you will be gaming at very low resolutions, the first is... OK. The gfx card is the weak link. It also shows an OS, so I'm not sure what you mean.

Option 2 would be better. The integrated (on-die) GPU is a bit stronger and will game at 720p very nice. If you game at 1080p, you'll have to really drop the in-game settings a lot.

Btw, the i3-3240 is not a 4 core processor. It is a dual core with 4 threads thanks to Hyper Threading.
