6GB of RAM, only 1.45 usable? (Windows 8.1 Laptop)

First off I have an Acer Aspire V5-552P-X617 with a 64-bit OS of Windows 8.1. The memory in it is DDR3 and there's only one slot for memory. I admit, I dropped it not too long ago, and after that it started acting up and showing 1.45GB of memory usable out of 6. I wiped it and did a clean install of Windows 8.1, still shows 1.45GB usable. I checked in msconfig in the boot menu if "Maximum Memory" was checked/ticked and it wasn't, so that's not the problem. I ran the memory check test and nothing came up there. Not sure what else the problem could be...is there any other hardware that would affect the memory when I dropped the laptop?

Thanks in advance!

How much memory does it say you have in your BIOS? Try enabling memory remap in your BIOS if it is supported. Here is a link to memtest, http://www.memtest.org/download/5.01/memtest86+-5.01.iso.zip, try booting this iso, and check for any errors.

Right now I'm reinstalling windows again. When it's done I'll definitely run memtest. What should I do if my BIOS shows 1.45 instead of 6 or vice versa?
