No, USB 2.0 is always going to be 2.0. If your motherboard doesn't have a USB 3.0 header, nothing is going to make it faster.
You can, however, find add-on cards that plug into the motherboard's PCIe x1 slots and give you two USB 3.0 ports in the back. Maybe that solves your problem?
