According to ASROCKS memory compatible list this ( G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9D-16GXM ) is not compatible but this RAM is (G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9Q-32GXM)...im on a budget and dont need 4 stick kit and also i need the blue colored theme to go with my build so why wouldn't the first one be compatible? Thanks for any input.

It is, they probably didn't have that particular set on hand, the mobo makers simply test with what they have available at the time. All the RJ X sets of sticks are compatible w/ your mobo ;)

That kit should be compatible with your board.

Generally, looking at the QVL isn't always going to tell you all the kits that are compatible with your system, since manufacturers only test with whatever they have in stock.

I'm sure you're right. I just feel like Im taking a gamble. If something goes wrong with the mobo, do you think they could claim that technically the RAM wasnt compatible and void my warranty on the mobo?

Also, if I order two more of these sticks later to fill up all four slots, do you see any issues with that?

I don't think they're going to void your warranty just because you didn't use a kit that they listed in the QVL.

As for mixing kits, it's a hit or miss. You may run into compatibility issues or you may not, but you can fix it by tweaking your bios a little.

No worries ;) Though trying to add 2 more later can be problematic, any time you mix packaged sets it can be problematic, even of the same exact model, which is why they offer such a variety of sets, all sticks in a package are tested to work together.
